During routine grass cutting of the road verges our grounds maintenance contractor came across this Bee Orchid, Latin name Oparys apifera. Although not a rare plant in the South-east of England it is unusual to find it growing in a Business Park. It gets its name from its bee like flowers that it uses to attract bees for pollination. We’re not giving away its location, you’ll have to go exploring for it at lunchtime to try and find it.
