In conjunction with Living Streets, Globe Park recently held two guided lunchtime walks.

The walks took place on Monday 11th January and Friday 15th January, with pre-planned routes designed by Living Streets and guided by Beth Metcalf. We managed a grand total of 12 walkers on Monday and 28 on Friday which was great considering the cold weather!

The aim of the guided events is to introduce some local walks that can be achieved with a 30 minute timeframe and suitable for a range of footware – no muddy puddles! It is hoped that Globe Park will create an environment for ‘lunchtime walks’ with ideas and resources for regular workplace walking.

Beth from Living Streets commented:

The Globe Park challenge was a great success with many of us walking more during the challenge week. Thank you to everyone who took part in the prize draw, our winner was Karen Daffey from Sagitarrius who has won £50 love to shop vouchers and made a big effort to walk more during the challenge week – well done!

Living Streets is the National Walking charity working in Marlow to #getmarlowmoving! Don’t be a desk Jockey, join our walking nation and feel happier, healthier and more productive at work.
